Celebrating 16 Years of GP Travel Enterprise! 🎉 This July, the GP Travel Enterprise team celebrated their product’s 16th anniversary with a night full of fun and team spirit! 🥳 The evening kicked off with thrilling escape room adventures followed by a chill session in the playroom featuring PlayStation, board games, and tasty treats. It was especially heartwarming to see them team up with colleagues from GP Travel Hub, creating a magical feeling of unity and shared purpose🤩 Here’s what some of the team had to say about the celebration⬇️ Cate Tupchik, PMO at GP Travel Enterprise: - I was so happy to see both teams come together and spend time celebrating. This year, we chose a more challenging activity with a Harry Potter-themed escape room. It was incredibly fun and exciting! Happy Birthday to our product! Full speed ahead!💙 Egor Strelkov, Lead Java Developer at GP Travel Enterprise: - It was great seeing colleagues, though I wish more could have joined. Both teams are amazing, each with their own unique dynamics, and it’s truly inspiring😊 Yulia Viten-Amos, Project Manager/Business Analyst at GP Travel Hub: - We had an awesome time and felt like one big happy team 🤗 GPTE, thanks again for the invitation; it means a lot to us. We love you, congratulations on your 16th anniversary, and we wish the product continued success! Maria Bondarenko, VP Product at GP Travel Enterprise: - We’ve achieved so much this past year. GP Solutions was named the world’s best ERP solution provider for travel companies and the best software provider for DMCs at the World Travel Tech Awards 2023. This recognition has positioned us as the top travel software provider globally, and we are striving to maximize this opportunity. None of this would have been possible without the team’s dedication and coordinated effort. I believe that together we can maintain GP Travel Enterprise’s high standing and attract major global clients. Congratulations on the product’s 16th anniversary, colleagues!🤗 May our client base grow, tourism flourish, and our team expand both in number and expertise. Happy Birthday, GP Travel Enterprise!🥳💙
𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!🌟 Our team proudly announces that we have completed a two-year challenge to prepare the migration of @hotelplan.ch websites from API Gateway to Apollo Federation. The project kicked off with Hotelplan.com, with more websites soon joining the new back end. 💡Apollo Federation is a cutting-edge technology that combines several GraphQL APIs into a single, federated supergraph, which considerably simplifies the development process. The key benefit for clients is that they can now retrieve all the data they need in a single request! 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙎𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝘼𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤 𝙁𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣? Hotelplan’s old API structure had grown too complex, with multiple services and tangled gRPC connections. This led to a difficult development environment and hindered new feature implementation. 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 🛠📈 🔹 Simplified integration: The Apollo Router automatically combines subgraphs. 🔹 Isolated testing: Easier and faster testing in specific app parts. 🔹 Automation & debugging: Simplified schema updates and effective automated tests. 🔹 Inversion of control: Reduced microservice codebase by 30–50%. 🔹 Enhanced front end: Efficient data retrieval with single queries. 🔹 Smooth client interaction: Clients interact with a federated schema as if it were monolithic. 🔹 In-built validation: Tools to prevent back dependency issues for clients. As Hotelplan Group plans to upgrade its other websites, this transition promises a more robust, scalable, and efficient experience for users. Thank you to everyone involved for making this project a resounding success!🤝 This collaborative endeavor exemplifies what can be achieved when teams work together towards a common goal. 📲 For more details, please check our official press release by the link in bio⬆️ #ApolloFederation#GraphQL#Microservices#DevOps#Hotelplan#gpsolutions#gpteam

The client selected only four vendors from the top tourism software providers globally, and GP Solutions was one of them. It was an exciting and interesting experience. The highlight of our trip was visiting Cleland Wildlife Park in Adelaide, where we had the opportunity to see, touch, and even feed koalas and kangaroos up close🦘 Additionally, it was fascinating to experience the contrast of seasons — while it was summer in Europe, it was winter in Australia❄️ Despite this, their winter was still warmer than our summer when we were back home. 🗣 𝘐𝘳𝘢 𝘙𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘭, 𝘊𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘚𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘳: - It was captivating to note the differences between Adelaide, Sydney, and Melbourne, as these cities represent three distinct regions of Australia. Visiting the iconic Sydney Opera House was incredibly thrilling too✨ I’d also like to mention the local weather, which varies significantly across different parts of the country. Although we didn’t visit the northern region, you probably know that it’s closer to the equator and has an even warmer and more humid climate. Melbourne, on the other hand, is famous for its unpredictable weather changes. It can be 15°C and sunny during the day, only to drop to 5°C with heavy rain a few hours later — all due to the city’s location. 🗣 𝘠𝘦𝘨𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘬𝘰𝘷, 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘑𝘢𝘷𝘢 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳: - I was deeply impressed by our visit to Cleland Wildlife Park, where we saw Australia’s most famous wildlife in its natural habitat🐨 ⬇️ Read some travel tips in the first comment;) #gpsolutions#gpteam#australia#traveltech
Dima Shumilov, our Java developer, recently came back from his vacation to India. He gladly agreed to share the story of his adventures through the country to the not-so-hard-to-reach Himalayas🙂🏔 Let us take a look at what Dima has to say: 🗣 I always wanted to dive deep into the region’s vibrant local culture, try some street food (though I regretted that later😝), and spend a night amidst the majestic mountains. In just two weeks, I explored Rishikesh, Shimla, Naggar, and Dharamshala, and even climbed up to the Triund View Point, which is 2,842 meters above sea level!🥰 The most exciting adventure was rafting on the Ganges! After hitting the first rapids, staying dry was not an option anymore. Also, I still can’t forget the trekking to 2,800 meters, with stunning views of snow-capped peaks and spending the night surrounded by cows and horses💫 We preferred to dine in restaurants, but the most “memorable” moments were from street food. In Rishikesh, I tried Puri balls with broth, which probably had Ganges water in it. However, it is also at street stalls where I had the most delicious freshly squeezed juice ever! I’m seriously thinking about getting a juicer now! Here are some travel tips: 🦟 Bring mosquito repellents 🌞 Use sunscreen 🍖 Stock up on meat if you’re a meat-eater 📸 Smile for photos with locals 🧴 Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer constantly The downside? The locals’ casual attitude towards trash and sanitation was a bit of a bummer☹️, as was the rather monotonous local food, which quickly became boring. 🌟Overall, I’d rate this trip 8 out of 10. You’ll either love or hate India — there’s no middle ground. I recommend this journey if you’re okay with basic hotels, don’t mind the food, and can handle the crowds😉 #gpsolutions#gpteam#traveltech#travelaroundtheworld#softwareengineering#indiatravelgram#india
